NEMTAC AMDS Hands-On Training

Complete the hands-on skills training and verification required as part of the NEMTAC Advanced Mobility Device Securement (AMDS) certification process. Public classes are held in Brandon, Florida and are limited to six students per class.

The $175 AMDS registration fee is paid to NEMT Standard and covers the in-person hands-on training and skills verification. The required NEMTAC AMDS online course is separate, is completed through NEMTAC, and is paid directly to NEMTAC. NEMT Standard does not set or control NEMTAC’s online-course fee.

Completing only the online portion or only the hands-on portion does not result in certification. NEMT Standard provides the hands-on training and skills verification. NEMTAC manages its online coursework, final review, and issuance of the credential.

Complete the NEMTAC Online Course

Complete the applicable AMDS online course through NEMTAC before attending hands-on training. The online course is separate from NEMT Standard registration and is paid directly to NEMTAC.

Attend Hands-On Training

Attend the selected NEMT Standard AMDS hands-on class in Brandon, Florida. Public classes are limited to six students.

Complete Skills Verification

Successfully demonstrate the required hands-on skills. Upon successful completion, the certified instructor completes and signs the applicable NEMTAC Skills Verification Form.

Use the completed Skills Verification Form to complete the applicable requirements through NEMTAC’s LMS. NEMTAC reviews the requirements and issues the final credential when its criteria are satisfied.

Complete the Process Through NEMTAC

Register for a class.

Choose your course, pick a Brandon class date, enter student information, and accept the required terms to complete registration.

Booking policy

  • Advance registration is required. Registration closes 48 hours before each session; walk-ins are not permitted.

  • Classes are limited to six students.

  • Registrations are nonrefundable.

  • Late arrivals and no-shows forfeit registration. Registrations are not transferable.

  • The applicable NEMTAC online course is separate and paid directly to NEMTAC.

Choose AMDS, CTAA, or both (same hands-on class), and optionally add CSO. At least one session is required.
